Mexico Preview

Last weekend Arash and I drove down to Mexico for the day with my friends Laura and Alex (Happy Birthday, Alex!). We had amazing food at Luis's restaurant- I'm only told that the deep fried lobster was delicious- though I can vouch for very tasty beer. I also was introduced to the phenomenon of the "chelada"...which is beer mixed with lime and salt, kinda like a beer-margarita. Very tasty.

We went shopping for a little while after dinner; I was practically drooling over some of the pottery and other gorgeous hand-arts in the shops. Arash liked the artisan crafted chess sets. We are definitely going to have to make another trip when we actually drive across the border so that we don't have to carry all the souvenirs on foot.

So, this was really like a little Mexico appetizer, if you will...just enough to get me incredibly excited for the longer trip.

2 weeks from today, Ms. Thang!
Just the colors in your pictures make me excited for our trip. :) I love the photobucket application--I registered to put slideshows on my blog, too.
