Cuernavaca

We´re now settled into a beautiful little Bed and Breakfast place in the town of Cuernavaca, Mexico. Cuernavaca is known for being the city of ¨eternal spring¨. Our hostel is the most gorgeous place run by the sweetest couple- called La Casa Mediterranea. It looks like something you´d see in a photo of the Riviera or a little Spanish Villa...it´s so peaceful, and the breakfast is to die for. We had ¨molletes¨this morning- kind of like biscuits covered in beans and melted cheese, with fresh cilantro salsa on top. Delicious.

We´re on our way to explore the town today- last night we were so tired, it was all we could do to get to a little cafe and have some coffee. Oh, and the coffee here is excellent! Our plan is to get on a little local bus and head to the Pyramids of Xochicalco (so-chee-cal-co) today- labled a Unesco World Heritage site, which I am super excited to see. There is just so much history here, and it´s beautiful to see the efforts with which things have been preserved. After that, if we have any energy left, we´ll go see this town´s Zocalo and possibly a museum housing works by Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo.

Hope everyone´s doing well, and here is a photo of our B&B.

Lots of love,
Katie
